First Circuit

District of Rhode Island

The US District Court for the District of Rhode Island now requires the JS 44 Civil Cover Sheet.

Second Circuit

District of New Jersey

The US District Court for the District of New Jersey issued an order amending its local rules. Rules 6.1, 7.1, 7.2, 12.1 (new), 12.2 (new), 54.2, 67.1, 72.1, 104.1 and Appendix D have been amended.
Amendments to Local Civil Rules 5.1, 5.3, 6.1, 7.2, 9.2, 9.3, 11.2, 16.1, 37.1, 41.1, 54.2, 65.1, 66.1, 69.1, 104.1 and 201.1 were adopted to indicate that any sworn statement complying with 28 U.S.C. § 1746 is acceptable to the Court.

Southern District of New York

The US District Court for the Southern District of New York issued a notice advising that Judge Edgardo Ramos relocated his chambers from the Charles Brieant Jr. United States Courthouse at 300 Quarropas Street in White Plains to the Thurgood Marshall United States Courthouse at 40 Centre Street in Manhattan. Judge Ramos also posted a new Civil Case Discovery Plan and Scheduling Order and updated his Individual Practices. The former version of his rules can be viewed here.
Judge Katherine Polk Failla posted a new Civil Case Management Plan and Scheduling Order.

Fourth Circuit

District of South Carolina

The US District Court for the District of South Carolina changed its pricing for Realtime transcripts:
  • One feed is $3.50 per page.
  • Two to four feeds is $2.10 per page.
  • Five or more feeds is $1.50 per page.

Western District of Kentucky

The US District Court for the Western District of Kentucky issued two new general orders regarding case assignment, one for civil cases and one for criminal cases.

Seventh Circuit

Southern District of Illinois

Judge Michael J. Reagan updated his Case Management Procedures. Exhibit lists and witness lists are now due two days before trial rather than one.

Ninth Circuit

Central District of California

The US District Court for the Central District of California posted new instructions for filing civil cover sheets, as well as instructions for filing civil actions for non-prisoners.
Judge Beverly Reid O'Connell posted a new Order Setting Scheduling Conference.

Eastern District of California

Judge Stanley A. Boone revised his jury selection procedures.

Tenth Circuit

District of Kansas

Effective immediately, the U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas has raised the CM/ECF brief and attachment size limit for PDFs from 10 MB to 30 MB.

Eleventh Circuit

Southern District of Florida

The US District Court for the Southern District of Florida issued an Administrative Order which stays, pending review, a previous order regarding the process of reviewing civil and criminal documents filed under seal.
