Principal responsibilities. The public prosecutors have responsibilities to:
Criminal matters: conduct investigations and searches, file public lawsuits, obtain legal remedies and execute penalties imposed.
Civil matters: file and oversee certain civil lawsuits and fulfil certain duties bestowed on them in the Turkish Civil Law No. 4721 Law No.2908 on Associations.
Administrative matters: fulfil certain duties bestowed on them in the Advocacy Law No. 1136 Notary Public Law No. 1518.
