KSEI was established in Jakarta on December 23rd 1997 and obtained its operational permit as a Central Securities Depository on November 11th 1998. KSEI is placed as one of the Self-Regulatory Organizations, besides the Stock Exchange and Clearing & Guarantee Institution.
