United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC)
An international treaty which has been adopted by nearly all countries to consider ideas and solutions to reduce global warming world-wide. The UNFCCC's ultimate goal is to stabilize greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions to a safe level that prevents dangerous human interaction with the climate system. It does not bind or enforce any regulations on member countries. The UNFCCC created the Kyoto Protocol in 1997.
