Pensions White Paper: personal accounts | Practical Law

The government is consulting on its proposals for personal accounts. These are contained in the White Paper, Personal accounts: a new way to save, published on 12 December 2006. The White Paper sets out details of how personal accounts will operate, who will be eligible and how they will be funded. Employers will be required to pay contributions. Personal accounts will be introduced in 2012. The closing date for responses to the consultation is 20 March 2007.
