The International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes (ICSID) Secretariat has published Issue 2012-1 of ICSID Caseload: Statistics. This issue provides an overview of cases registered or otherwise administered by ICSID as of 31 December 2011.

As with the previous issues, the document provides a detailed analysis of the cases handled by ICSID, including the geographic distribution of cases by state party and the economic sectors involved in cases. In 2011, 38 new cases were registered at ICSID (33 under the ICSID Convention, four under the ICSID Additional Facility Rules and one conciliation case), a record high for the centre.
