On 18 December 2008, the US Department of Justice (DOJ) filed a civil lawsuit in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia alleging that the acquisition of assets of Semicoa Inc. (Semicoa) by Microsemi Corporation (Microsemi) in July 2008 violated federal US antitrust laws.
