FTC Study projects significant cost savings to consumers from banning "pay-for-delay" drug settlements | Practical Law
In a speech at the Centre for American Progress on 23 June 2009, US Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Chairman Jon Leibowitz said that eliminating so-called "pay-for-delay" pharmaceutical settlements will save US consumers US$3.5 billion dollars each year, according to an internal study.
