This note examines when an individual might be disabled for the purposes of the Equality Act 2010. It supplements Practice notes, Disability discrimination and Disability discrimination: reasonable adjustments, which deal with the protection of disabled employees and job applicants, and the duties of employers in relation to disabled people.
