Ten agreements for US public company acquisitions with a deal value of $100 million or more were recently filed.
On June 14, 2016, Technip S.A. agreed to combine with oil service equipment provider FMC Technologies, Inc. in an all-stock merger of equals valued at approximately $13 billion in combined equity value at signing.
On June 16, 2016, Revlon, Inc. agreed to acquire beauty and cosmetics company Elizabeth Arden, Inc. in an all-cash transaction valued at $870 million (or $419.3 million equity value).
On June 16, 2016, South State Corporation agreed to acquire bank holding company Southeastern Bank Financial Corporation in an all-stock transaction valued at $335 million at signing.
On June 20, 2016, OSI Systems, Inc. agreed to acquire backscatter X-ray inspection technology and services provider American Science and Engineering, Inc. in an all-cash transaction valued at approximately $184 million (net of $85 million of American Science and Engineering's cash and cash equivalents).
On June 23, 2016, Incipio, LLC agreed to acquire audio and gaming products creator Skullcandy, Inc. in an all-cash tender offer valued at $131 million (not including cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments of $46 million).
On June 26, 2016, People's United Financial, Inc. agreed to acquire bank holding company Suffolk Bancorp in an all-stock transaction valued at approximately $402 million at signing.
On June 27, 2016, Medtronic plc agreed to acquire miniaturized implantable heart pump manufacturer HeartWare International, Inc. in an all-cash tender offer valued at approximately $1.1 billion.
On June 27, 2016, Gannett Co., Inc. agreed to acquire web presence and advertising digital services provider ReachLocal, Inc. in an all-cash tender offer valued at approximately $156 million.
On June 29, 2016, Blackboard Inc. agreed to acquire payments technology provider Higher One Holdings, Inc. in an all-cash tender offer valued at $260 million.
On June 29, 2016, Apollo Global Management, LLC agreed to acquire vacation destination provider Diamond Resorts International, Inc. in an all-cash tender offer valued at approximately $2.2 billion.
