This note gives a comprehensive overview of practical issues of intern management under Chinese law, and gives guidance on practical issues for intern management that arise for human resources departments at multinational corporations.

This article looks at data protection legislation generally, as well as more specific areas such as approaches to data breach notification, data export and the "right to be forgotten". The article also has a table to summarise the data protection legislation in place across various jurisdictions in Asia Pacific.
Employment and benefits
We have published Practice note, Intern management in China. This note considers issues relating to the legal status of internships, rights and benefits of interns, documenting an internship agreement and restrictions on using interns. This note also addresses practical intern management issues frequently encountered by intern-accepting entities in China, including de facto employment and work-related injuries of interns.
