The SEC announced a new system for informing SEC registrants of important changes related to EDGAR.
On April 11, 2016, the SEC announced that, going forward, it will use announcements to inform SEC registrants of:
  • EDGAR closings.
  • Changes to the hours of the SEC's filer support team.
  • Important changes to EDGAR.
  • Other important reminders that affect EDGAR filers.
The SEC encourages all SEC registrants to subscribe to these SEC announcements by updating their email addresses here.
