On 29 March 2006, the European Commission announced that it has decided under Article 6(1)(b) of the EC Merger Regulation to approve the proposed acquisition of joint control of Companhia de Seguro de Creditas (COSEC) by Euler Hermes SFAC and Banco BPI SA (BPI).
