A Practice Note providing an overview of blockchain cybersecurity risks and issues, including a brief review of blockchain technology basics and a discussion of cyber threats to and common vulnerabilities found in blockchain applications. This Note also addresses the tension between using blockchain technology and general data privacy obligations and potential uses of blockchain technology to improve overall cybersecurity and minimize cyberattacks.
