A practice note explaining how debtors make a bankruptcy application to an adjudicator under Chapter A1 of Part 9 of the Insolvency Act 1986, which came into force on 6 April 2016 and replaced the previous process of petitioning the court for a bankruptcy order under sections 272 to 274A of the Insolvency Act 1986.
