Forum shopping in insolvency proceedings | Practical Law

This practice note discusses an entity's ability to shift its centre of main interests (COMI) to another jurisdiction, principally under the EC Regulation on Insolvency Proceedings (EC 1346/2000) or the Recast Insolvency Regulation (EU 2015/848), to take advantage of the insolvency regime in that jurisdiction. This is sometimes known as forum shopping.
