DIFC Courts "go global" and facilitate enforcement of arbitral awards | Practical Law

Pursuant to a new Dubai law that extends the jurisdiction of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), any party, even those with no connection to the DIFC, can now choose to have their commercial disputes resolved by the DIFC Courts. Moreover, the law formalises the mechanism for the enforcement of arbitral awards rendered in the DIFC in onshore Dubai.
