This note provides an overview of the issues that in-house counsel should be alive to when helping their organisations prepare for, and then manage, a crisis. It looks at the components of a crisis management plan, the structure of a crisis management team and the lawyer’s role in all of this. The note explains the importance of planning, coupled with a willingness to adapt and improvise as circumstances change.
