Practical completion confirms the completion of construction works on a project. The JCT suite of contracts refer to "practical completion" of the works. The NEC engineering and construction contract, fourth edition (NEC4 ECC), refers to "completion". Engineering contracts may refer to "mechanical completion", "completion" or "substantial completion".
