General meeting

Formerly known as an extraordinary general meeting. A general meeting can be either a non-routine meeting of a company called for a specific purpose or an annual general meeting. A general meeting may be called by the directors of the company or requisitioned by a certain number of the members. For details of how a general meeting may be called and the length of notice required for a general meeting, see General meetings: Notice.
