This Legal Update reports on significant changes to the local rules and procedures for all US federal district courts and appellate courts between July 1 and 7, 2015. It also reports on changes to the individual practice rules for the judges in select district courts during this period.
US General Services Administration
The US General Services Administration updated its rule for privately owned vehicle mileage reimbursement rates by changing "government owned automobile" to "government-furnished automobile."
Federal Circuit
Federal Circuit Court of Appeals
The US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit amended Federal Circuit Rules of Practice and Procedure 46(c) and 52(a) and (e) to require mandatory use of pay.gov when attorneys are paying fees to the court, effective July 6, 2015.

The US District Court for the Central District of California announced that applications for attorney admissions in the Central District of California will only be accepted electronically, effective August 1, 2015.
